This quintessential Seattle beach is a magical stretch of coast along the Puget Sound that attracts the perfect cross-section of city dwellers who fill the sand like sardines in a tin can to soak up vitamin D. Here you can see families BBQing together, EDM dancers twirl their glowing orbs to a beat, enjoy a fire in the sand with friends, gasp as tech bros take a polar plunge, and see the sun dip behind the Olympics as seals bark into the night. Golden Gardens is my favorite place in town to people-watch, eat a slice of pizza, and feel restored by the brilliant combination of ocean, mountains, and wildlife.
