On Rialto Beach, we walked down the shore, climbing over driftwood and collecting a rainbow of rocks until we were stopped by a large cliffside jutting out into the water. The tide was low so we set up our tents and left our packs. We walked through a perfectly arched Hole in the Wall and explored the tidepools. We sat still as a whole ecosystem busteld about underfoot, watching closely as all the fish, crabs, and starfish comingled with the colorful plant life. Crimson iridescent tendrils of seaweed sparkled and swayed in the motion of the repetitive waves. Bright green anemones opened and closed, pulsing to their own beat. Chartreuse and olive toned rockweed shook like marakas and reflected glimmers of sunlight.
