At Cannon Beach, the shoreline levels out and creates a vast, flat mirror on the wet sand that reflects the surrounding landscape. The misty fog sprinkles the horizon with spun sugar, hugs the cliffside, and creates a veil at the base of the sea stacks along the shore. Afternoon’s golden light blankets everything in its warmth and as the sun dips low, it shoots fluorescent pink beams of light through the sky.
