"Bainbridge II"
"Bainbridge II"
Original Painting
5” x 5” unframed
On my first visit to the pacific northwest, we took the ferry to bainbridge island then followed an overgrown trail through a fern filled forest to the shoreline. The beach was lined with lush foliage, tall old growth evergreens, and mountains of driftwood defined the border of the forest and the beach. The air was like glue that day, everything was covered in a blanket of fog. As we walked along the beach, dark shiny rocks popped out in an abundance of grey, green, and speckled ones.
gouache, acrylic, colored pencil, and graphite on archival paper
