My first time visiting Rialto Beach was on a backpacking trip last summer. We camped on the beach and fell asleep to the sound of the rising tide. Split Rocks and the surrounding cliffs were covered in chartreuse moss. I woke up and painted the pink and tangerine sunrise, the sea stacks anchored in the waves, and the reflections that were cast on the ripples along the shoreline.
