My favorite time of day is the golden hour when a fluorescent pink sunset creeps up on you with just the right amount of clouds to produce a magical alpenglow. I imagine the sun had a really great day and it needs a good stretch before bedtime as it reaches its colors across the sky. It gives the mountains a goodnight kiss and the mountains blush in return. This little public display of affection always makes up for the shorter days and longer nights.
