Abstracting Nature
Abstracting Nature
Join me in person to create your own mixed media work of art that represents somewhere meaningful to you - maybe a favorite place, vacation, hiking trail, etc! For all levels of artists - no previous art experience is required! I'll be sharing some tips from my personal creative practice. We'll cover some basic color theory, composition tricks, simplifying/abstracting a reference photo, and enjoy each other's creative company.
Everyone who attends will get a copy of my "Abstracting Nature Field Notes" which includes:
Brief history of abstract art
Color theory
Mixed media dos and don’ts
Landscape “rules”
Composition tips
Ideas for more practice
Building your own “visual vocabulary”
It’s all handwritten, thoroughly researched, and folds up into a pocket sized zines!
