As the sun set in Yosemite Valley, soft peach light reflected on the granite mountains and cast the foliage below with pops of fiery yellow. I painted five different studies of this memory, letting the process guide each painting, and five wildly different compositions emerged. This print is a reproduction of my favorite, the 2nd painting in the set.
