“Golden Gardens”

Original Painting
My favorite local beach is a magical stretch of coast along the Puget Sound that attracts the perfect cross-section of Seattlites who gather together like sardines in a tin can to soak up vitamin D. Here you can see families BBQing together, EDM dancers twirl their glowing orbs to a beat, enjoy a fire in the sand with friends, gasp as tech bros take a polar plunge, and see the sun dip behind the Olympics as seals bark into the night. Many locals think Golden Gardens is overrated and overcrowded but it is my favorite place in town to people-watch, eat a slice of pizza, and feel restored by the magic combination of ocean, mountains, and wildlife.
