Bittersweet Rainier
Original Painting

The Alpenglow Collection celebrates a bittersweet farewell to summer and an embrace of autumn’s slow pace. We're on the cusp of abundance but nature reminds us to rest first. The air is crisp and full of yearning, a little wildfire smoke lingers on the horizon, creating the most hauntingly beautiful sunsets you'll see all year. It’s a love letter to the long shadows of golden hour, the last few tomatoes hanging on the vine, the fluorescent skies that melt into the snowcapped mountains, the blushing maple tree in my front yard, wiggling your toes in the cool sand at the beach one last time, soaking up the stillness before an impending whirlwind, and the steadfast evergreens hugging the horizon.
