Are you looking for private art lessons?
It is my passion to help young learners discover their confidence in visual art, deepen community relationships through artmaking, and spark joy in others’ lives through the diverse narrative of art history. Through the years, art was my haven. I remember setting up my Fisher Price aisle in my parents’ kitchen and painting a million tempera paint masterpieces throughout my childhood. I want to provide your child with that same comfort and release that art can bring. I have 6 years of experience teaching artists from age 6m months to 70+ years everywhere from the museum setting to the community center, private businesses to daycare centers, as well as public schools. I’m a certified P-12 Visual Art Teacher with a Bachelor’s of Fine Art and a Master’s of Art Education. I want to provide your young artist with an exemplary visual art education from the comfort of your home in the Seattle area or virtually whether you’re near and far.
I offer an emergent visual art curriculum in a private setting to children from 3 to 15 years old. I am currently offering individual lessons as well as classes for siblings or learning pods.
You and your child’s interests and goals will shape the lessons I provide. I am highly qualified to teach your child painting, drawing, photography, ceramics, printmaking, and sculpture. Your child’s interests will guide the subject matter, materials, and art history we will explore. Your child has the opportunity to experience the thrill of mixing their perfect paint shade for a self-portrait, develop a keen eye for detail by drawing from observation plein air, improve their fine motor skills through molding clay or fabricating textile art. We could learn about the magic and mechanics of capturing light through film or digital photography, explore and collect nature to create natural earth pigments, engage our community by painting a large scale mural, or connect with friends or family far away by mailing them hand-carved greeting cards. My dynamic lessons will put your child’s personal interests at the forefront, while also exposing them to a big picture context from literature, STEM, BIPOC artists and art history.

*Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic I will be taking additional health precautions during in-person lessons. I will wear a mask at all times, will not provide lessons for more than 5 children at a time, disclose any potential COVID-19 exposures to your family, and ask that you and your family disclose any potential COVID-19 exposures to me prior to all lessons. All art supplies will stay in your home and be sanitized after lessons.
